Hey guys, I'm back! So this weekend I was at Houston and caught up with a couple of friends while having fun! It was pretty awesome!!

Family is Everything

Hello again!

Was going through facebook today and for some weird reason both my parents have a Facebook account, and Ben more surprising is that they are my friends in Facebook!
Like the title of this blog, my family is everything. I don't think I would be here without them!
My mum as always is my backbone my moral compass, my morale boost! That woman has done more for me than anyone in my entire life! With just a few words she can make anything alright! She is my best friend! And before I forget, she's the most beautiful person in earth! I get one half of my looks from her ;D!!
My father in the other hand is the coolest dude ever! We talk about everything! From lil' Wayne to politics to religion! He's a very good communicator! He completes my circle of trust!! Oh and the other half of my good looks comes from him! Even at his age, he looks really good! And he loves to dress the part too!
My sister and my brothers complete the circle! These are my best friends! They always know when something is right or wrong! We discuss our highs and our lows! Our best and out worst! I truly love my family! Family is everything!

So, I'm going through facebook today (which i rarely do, facebook has sorta lost its appeal) and so I go to my profile (yes I'm vain like that) and I stumble across my notes. Funny things I tell you. Anyway, there's this note thingy that people did on 25 things about themselves so I found mine and want to share it with y'all (with the power of copy and pasting).

1. I'm a girl...

2. I am soo light skinned I stand out...but i dnt have curly hair so i cant pass for a half- caste...:(

8. I love to read novels...esp twilight and Harry Potter...I've read each of the books at least twice... but i hate to read school books... they're like punishment...

9. Movies are my favorite past time..its like they were made for me esp... I'm sure d pple at AMC theaters should know me by now...

10. Music is my passion... i love to listen to music..nytin dat sounds good works for me.. pop, rock, rnb, alternative, naija, n even makosa..

6. Kokori is still aterrorist, she has grown into a bigger one now, but she is way nicer now.

8. After i wrote this post, I really have not read a lot of books, TV and the cinema will do this to you. besides every book is made into a movie or tv show so why read.

Me and Movies!!!

Hey again,

I should be named the worst blogger in the history of blogging. Weird person this girl called Bubu is. I almost only remember to update my blog whenever I read someone else's. School just recently started which means I have to wake up early to catch the shuttle (only because I am too lazy to walk to class), then I rush home early to catch up on my sleep only to eventually not sleep but instead watch Nip/Tuck (my newest tv obsession with my second best TV doctor only after Dr. House himself, Dr. Christian Troy). Its funny how I haven't watched this show since part of my life's mission's is to be a cosmetic surgeon.

My weird school life aside lets focus on what I really did this summer- Watch almost every summer movie that came out this summer. People that know me well know that I am a movie aficionado, and IMDb is the most visited site in my movie browser.
This summer me and my movie crew (compromising of Miss Chipo, My sister Christine, My Brother Ogein and sometimes Miss Ore) went and watched movies. We are pros at movie hopping and 3D glasses thieving (why would I pay $3 extra for stuff they expect me to recycle after using, B.S.). We literally watched 4- 5 movies in one day (yeah we're cool like that you know).

But the highlight of my summer was the movie I have been waiting for for the past year 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2' I was there with the movie crew and we had a bloody good time. We cried, laughed, stuffed ourselves with food. Best part was the premiere tickets which were a birthday present from my summer girlfriend Miss Chipo and we got to watch the double feature which was part 1 and 2 together. Fun times.

Anyway a recap of the movies I watched till last friday: Thor, X-men first class, Hangover 2, Bridesmaids, Pirates of the Caribbean: at stranger tides, The help, crazy, stupid love, horrible bosses, friends with benefits, bad teacher, captain america, green lantern, jumping the broom, something borrowed, priest (which was dumb, plus i didnt see it with the movie crew), Transformers 3, Monte Carlo (snoozefest), The change-up, 30 minutes or less, columbiana, The debt (brilliant-might-be-oscar-nominated movie).

Is there Really a Girl Code???

A while back I posted a funny but true version of The Girl Code. Most of it was true but sometimes we girls ask ourselves, Is there really a "girl code". Sure we say its "girls code' to not date your friends' ex, or its not cool to be bffs with a guy who has a girlfriend, but do we ever follow these rules.

Some might argue that this girl code doesn't exist on the basis of love. "If I liked him after my friend dated him and what not, is that wrong?" I sorta recently saw the movie and read the book "Something Borrowed" and in it, the lead character is having an affair with her best friends fiance weeks to their wedding simply because she was in love with him first.

Oh, what if I introduce a friend of mine, to a guy that is my friend, that previously dated one of my friends, is that a violation of the girl code. What if I am just friends with your bf and you feel threatened, should I break off my friendship just because you think I might be in violation of the girl code??

So ladies please enlighten me on what you think should be included in the girl code and what your thoughts are on the issue in the comments section.

Bummer Summer

Hey guys,
I know, I'm lame. Haven't posted in quite a while. Its not me really, Texan summers bring out the boring in you. the sun makes you weak, so you retreat to your house and end up eating, sleeping, and watching TV or whatever.

I had high hopes for this summer though. I planned to work out and lose some weight, party like never before and just generally chill. But as we all know, the best laid plans never do work out. I'm sitting on my bed, watching True Blood (because of boredom mainly but it turns out to be not-bad), eating chips and I haven't even gotten up one day to actually go and workout. LAME!

Anyway the best thing I have done this summer was go for the Basketmouth show over last weekend. It was very fun, I looked very good ( You know, I'm getting older, waiting for my husband to find me. LOL), basketmouth is effing hilarious by the way and it made me realize something, I need to make my summer worthwhile.

So I have made new summer resolutions, just have fun in anyway I can. I love to live positively. I love not having any care in the world. I beleive I am one of the most care free people out there so really nothing stops me from having the best Last- summer- in - college!! woohoo

Also, to add to my year of fun, I have decided to start my Las Vegas fund, by fire or by force, I must go to
Vegas. hehe.

Anyway, I'm done ranting and as I go back to watching true blood.

SHOES!!!!

Heyyo!!

So I just was in class, and I decided I needed to write about something I truly loved (apart from movies and tv) and I decided to write about shoes!!!

I am a lover of shoes, especially Steve Madden (don't judge me, I always get super deals) and colorful shoes, but I always end up buying neutral colors- which is almost always BLACK. I believe that I am not the only one who has this problem. I go to the store and online and I see all these beautiful shoes and I end up playing it safe by buying a black pair because I am unsure of what I would wear with 'purple' shoes.

Its not like the shoes don't look good on me, I have what I call 'Ashewo' feet! Every time I put shoes on my feet, they look really good (seriously considering going feet modelling but I have 'big' legs so it wont look good on the website/ catalog), they are small (size 8/8.5 to be precise) so its not even hard finding a good pair of shoes, but I always just end up buying black or nothing at all.

I have decided to start a no more black shoes parade but its not really working out, I haven't yet bought a pair of shoes this year but I am seriously hoping when I do I make a good choice, shoes are always precious.

For now I would still be quietly looking for that perfect pair of shoes, browsing through every website, checking through that store,trying to find, my perfect pair!!!

So recently there was an event, a magazine launch to be specific. THe cover of the mag was very sumptous, featuring Modupe Ozolua, very nice looking woman for her age bdw.
